what you are saying is quite right. although it is hard to explain for me in words and in english, but music shoudn't be only happy music. because a human aint happy all the time. listening to certain music wile thinking of certain thought gives music(either depressing or happy) a extra dimension. music can depress a man. but thats better than having this huge knot in your head. it doesnt make it worse, at least a bit better

I thought come clarity was a great album; It returns to the original style, with the guitar riffs, melodies and drumming. Granted the guitar fx are moderately different and the album makes use of electonic fx like RtR and StYE.

what? come clarity may have been a different style but how can you hate on it and then forget about soundtrack and reroute would you rather they rereleased the same shit every album? they evolve and a sense of purpose is heavy compared to some of the newer albums, not where it needs to be maybe but it's moving to it

I think In Flames was both as great untill In flames release Come Clarity.. and then that new album that i havent even bothered to remember the name to ;/ In flames are going down :( Shame. All the albums with Anders have kicked ass but they lost it. Soilwork still got it :D and they kick azz ;D

Warrel Dane is a fucking awesome vocalist, otherwise he would never have succeeded after singing for Sanctuary. His solo album is frigging brilliant. And for the record, most of the favoured metal vocalists are operatically trained, you'll be surprised how many are. Even rock vocalist Meatloaf is an opera singer, they have the greatest basic notes, but the smallest range. So the fact he is singing metal shows he has technique and range. Nevermore are an acquired taste

what does this has to do with range? I listened to both songs, and most of the time he keeps on screaming around with gutteral techniques (a thing everyone can do - me and you included). The few clean pieces are all inside the same two octaves - where is the range? If you are interested in real RANGE, check out f. e. Rob Halford, Michael Kiske, Sean Peck, Eric Adams, Geoff Tate... Or Warrel Dane. I think there are also many great ones in other genres, but my knowledge spreads over metal.

John Tempesta is the drummer in this clip. intern? the Cults Fn lucky to get him. he was with Exodus, Testament, White Zombie then Zombie's solo project as well as playing with Helmet for about a year. he even did some work with Sabath's Tony Iommi. joined the Cult in about 2006. Tempesta's the best metal drummers working today. He's the best drummer the Cult's had since Matt Sorum left the Cult for GnR and later Velvet Revolver.

Ian's just channeling Morrison- you can hear some similarity in their voices- of course, I'm sure with him doing some of the tour with The Doors, that has something to do with it. id say possessed were the first deathmetal band having a song called death metal, and being the ones to first use the term. they also started in 1993 but i belive death we called mantas in 1993 and a thrash band. i dont thik they became death (and death metal) untill 1994 but i may be wrong.
